Bills vs. Seahawks Free Picks 11/07/16 – Monday Night Football
Buffalo Bills vs. Seattle Seahawks Free Picks & Monday Night Football Predictions, November 07, 2016 at 8.30 PM EST. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.
The Seattle Seahawks veteran coach Pete Carroll has seen his team struggle on the offense side of the ball in recent games, scoring just a combined 26 points in a 6-6 tie at Arizona and a 25-20 loss at New Orleans. Carroll is hoping to see a much-improved level of performance when the Seahawks host the reeling Buffalo Bills on Monday night.
The Bills are winless in each of their last two games following a stretch of four consecutive victories. The division is pretty much out of reach after last week’s blowout loss to the Patriots, and a loss here would seriously jeopardize their wild-card hopes. Seattle meanwhile is sitting top of the NFC West with a 4-2-1 record. The Seahawks trounced the Bills 50-17 in 2012 in Toronto in the most-recent meeting.
Seattle opened as a 6.5-point favorite but you now have to lay a full touchdown to back the home team. The tickets are coming in just about even on each side while 70 percent of the bettors believe the game will go under the total of 44 points.
The Bills have dropped two in a row to AFC East rivals Miami and New England. Last week’s 41-25 setback against the Patriots must have shattered the confidence even further for this injury troubled Buffalo side, especially as the Bills won the first meeting at Foxboro earlier in the season. NFL sacks leader Lorenzo Alexander is battling a hamstring injury and the Bills won’t know until close to game time if standout running back LeSean McCoy can play. McCoy is sixth in the NFL with 598 rushing yards despite sitting out last Sunday’s defeat. Buffalo ranks 16th in total defense (360.3) but is tied for first with 26 sacks. The Bills have allowed an average of just 15 points through their four road games this season.
- Bills are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games on fieldturf.
- Bills are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games following a double-digit loss at home.
- Over is 6-2 in Bills last 8 Monday games.
- Under is 13-6 in Bills last 19 vs. a team with a winning record.
Seattle’s “Legion of Boom” defense is again one of the top units in the league and ranks second in scoring defense at 15.4 points per game and third in total defense giving up 319.4 yards on average. The Seahawks are pretty harmless on the offensive side of the ball though averaging only 18.7 points per game, and star quarterback Russell Wilson has struggled mightily over the past three games. Wilson, who is battling knee and ankle injuries, has zero touchdown passes and one interception in the last three games and the Seahawks have scored just one offensive touchdown in their last nine quarters.
- Seahawks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss.
- Seahawks are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 Monday games.
- Under is 5-0 in Seahawks last 5 Monday games.
- Under is 9-4 in Seahawks last 13 games overall.
The Pick: Under 44 Points
The Seahawks are rightfully favored by a big number, but we don’t see any value on the side with the spread set at a touchdown even. Considering Seattle’s defensive prowess combined with both team’s woes on the offensive side of the ball we think the under is the best play for Monday Night Football November 7, 2016.
