Brooklyn Nets vs. Boston Celtics NBA Free Pick

Posted 3 years ago in Uncategorized

The Brooklyn Nets are coming to Boston to face the Celtics as both teams will open their 2014/2015 campaigns tonight. The Nets made it to the Eastern Conference semifinals last season and former Boston Celtic player Kevin Garnett is all set to face his old team. Garnett, known for his high intensity and leadership, is the perfect mentor for young players like Mason Plumlee to maximize their potential. Plumlee might be called upon to start next to Garnett tonight if Brook Lopez is not able to recover from the sprained ankle he suffered in China during the pre-season in time.

Boston has lost several key players over the past few years and are left with a very average squad, bar Rajon Rondo who is coming off a broken left hand and not likely to play more than 4-5 minute stints if he makes an appearance at all here. Talented Marcus Smart is ready to step in, but it might be too much to ask for a young player like him to replace one of the best point guards in the NBA.

The Brooklyn Nets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings, while the Boston Celtics are 1-5 ATS in their last six vs. NBA Atlantic.

Play on: Brooklyn Nets -3.5
