The Buffaloes have a 10-2 record and are coming off six consecutive wins. Their two losses losses came against USC and Michigan, both on the road. The Huskies boast an 11-1 record with the lone setback a 26-13 loss to USC who beat Colorado by just a 21-17 scoreline.

Washington opened as a 7-point favorite but early money has moved the spread to Huskies -7.5 as of the publication of this article. The total opened at 60 points for the game but most books have adjusted it down by as much as two points with 90 percent of the early tickets backing the under.

Colorado Buffaloes

Colorado finished the season with the best ATS record in college football at 10-2. One of the two games it failed to cover the spread was its last game, a 27-22 win against Utah as the Utes scored a touchdown with just over a minute to go to cover the 10.5-point spread.

Quarterback Sefo Liufau did not play his best game, throwing for 270 yards with one touchdown with a pair of fumbles. He’s had a terrific season overall though, throwing for a total of 2150 yards with 11 touchdowns and only three interceptions, and he has also rushed for 483 yards with seven scores. Running back Philipp Lindsay has rushed for well over 100 yards in four out of his last six games but managed only 55 rushing yards against Utah. He’s had a tremendous season, accumulating 1136 rushing yards with 15 touchdowns.

The Buffaloes have scored an average of 34.8 points per game while giving up 18.8 points per game.

The Buffaloes are 7-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record but 2-5 ATS in their last seven games in December. Under is 6-1 in the Buffaloes last seven neutral site games and 10-3 in Buffaloes last 13 conference games.

Washington Huskies

Washington finished the season with an 11-1 record, but covered the spread in only six of those games. The Huskies won 45-17 as a 6-point favorite at Washington State in their last game as they came out flying scoring 28 points in the first quarter alone and held Washington State to just 334 total yards throughout the contest.

Quarterback Jake Browning had another phenomenal game, connecting on 21-of-29 passes for 292 yards with three touchdowns. Over the course of the season he’s racked up 3162 passing yards with 40 touchdowns while tossing just seven interceptions. The Huskies also feature a very dangerous running game with Myles Gaskin and Lavon Coleman leading the pack. Gaskin has tallied 1180 yards on the year with ten touchdowns, rushing for 100 or more yards in five out of his last eight games.

The Huskies have averaged 44.8 points per game going forward while limiting opponents to 17.8 points per game.

The Huskies are 4-0 ATS in their last four Friday games but they’re just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a straight up win of more than 20 points. Over is 7-1-1 in Huskies last 9 vs. a team with a winning record and 9-2-1 in their last 12 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points.

Our Prediction: Washington Huskies -7.5

This will either be  Washington’s first championship triumph in over a decade, or Colorado’s first ever. Washington head coach Chris Petersen and Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre both agree on one thing: Defense wins championships. Well, huge advantage the Huskies in that aspect and Colorado has covered zero of it’s last six tries against Washington.

Huskies to win and cover the spread.
