Connecticut Huskies vs. Tulsa Golden Hurricane Free Pick 03/14/15
Play Connecticut Huskies -2.
I’m recommending a play on UConn minus the points. First, it was Kemba Walker, then Shabazz Napier and now Ryan Boatwright who is almost single-handedly trying to get Connecticut into the NCAA tournament. The senior guard scored 18 points including a buzzer-beater in Friday’s 57-54 win against Cincinnati. UConn is playing better than it has all season winning five of its last seven games and covering the spread four of its last six. The teams split the season series but the Huskies won the rematch on Feb. 12 in a 70-45 blowout. The XL Center in Hartford is essentially a home court for the Huskies who are 8-1 at this venue. Shaquille Harrison led the Golden Hurricane with 14 points in their 59-51 win over poor-shooting Houston. The Huskies likely won’t win by 25 points again but look for Connecticut to still get the win and cover on Saturday. I’m laying the points with UConn. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
