Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins NFL Free Pick
Play On: Washington Redskins +4.
I’m recommending a play on the Redskins plus the points on Sunday. After capturing the division last week, the Cowboys still have an outside shot at grabbing a bye week for the opening weekend of the postseason. The “easiest” formula would be to beat Washington and then have Arizona and Seattle lose their games.
Dallas lost at home to the Skins in this season’s first meeting. Redskin receivers Garcon & Jackson had little trouble against the Cowboys defense in the 20-17 Washington win in OT…and Dallas had their regulars on the field for the entire game.
That may not be the case in this one. HC Jason Garrett said he was going to send his starters to practice just like any other week, but he had not yet made a decision to play or rest his key starters. Having said that, we’re looking at Washington either way. Dallas would like to enter the postseason with momentum and a perfect 7-0 true road record (8-0 including the win in London).
The Skins, meanwhile, are looking to play spoiler for the second straight week after knocking off Philadelphia last weekend. While they wouldn’t knock Dallas from the postseason, they would derail any hopes of a bye week and end the attempt at a perfect road season with a win. Dallas enters having covered just 3 of their last 16 off a win by 28 or more points and beat Indy 42-7 last week. This week, we’ll back the home dog. I’m recommending a play on Washington plus the points on Sunday.
