Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings NBA Free Pick
Wednesday’s Free NBA Pick: Sacramento Kings +4
The Kings are a franchise on the rise and I look for them to spoil Steve Kerr’s coaching debut with the Warriors. Sacramento has the pieces in place to be a strong team out west, especially at home. DeMarcus Cousins is quietly emerging into one of the best big men in the game. I look for big improvements from second-year shooting guard Ben McLemore and I’m a big fan of the addition of point guard Darren Collison. The Kings are also a lot deeper team than I think people realize. Carl Landry, Ramon Sessions, Derrick Williams, Reggie Evans, Omri Casspi, and Ryan Hollins are all capable of coming in and producing at a high level.
Golden State is clearly going to be one of the top teams in the Western Conference, but they will be without starting power forward David Lee, along with key reserves Brandon Rush and newly acquired point guard Shaun Livingston. I’ll take my chances that the “Splash Brothers” don’t catch fire out of the gate and the Kings play above their potential in their home opener.
