NFL Week 10 Best Bets – Reverse Line Movement Picks

Posted 11 months ago in Featured, Featured NFL Free Picks

Reverse line movement refers to betting lines that move in the opposite direction of what the public betting percentages would suggest. Reverse line movement occurs when bigger bets are placed on the non-public side of the matchup, something commonly known as sharp money or smart money. You can follow line movements on our live betting odds page.

We have identified a pair of games that fit the criteria above on Week 10 of NFL action for Sunday November 13, 2016.

NFL Week 10 Best Bets – Reverse Line Movement Picks

Texans vs. Jaguars -2.5

The Houston Texans opened as a 1.5-point favorite at online sportsbook 5Dimes but the Jacksonville Jaguars are now favored by 2.5-points as we head into Sunday. That is despite close to 65 percent of the tickets backing the Texans to cover the spread. We are also seeing reverse line movement for the total with 90 percent of the bettors believing we’ll see a high-scoring contest while the number has dropped from the opener of 43.5 points to 42.

Houston is coming off a bye week, but the team is 0-3 straight up and against the spread on the road this season. Houston has failed to record 300 total yards of offense in three of its last four games and four of its last six. The Jaguars are 0-3 straight up and 1-2 against the spread home at EverBank Field. Jacksonville is coming off a 19-14 at Kansas City, but the Jaguars recorded their best offensive output of the year in the loss, much thanks to a season-high 205 rushing yards.

Rams +1 vs. Jets

The New York Jets opened as a 2.5-point favorite at online sportsbook 5Dimesbut the teams are now at a pick’em despite 65 percent of the public firmly behind the Jets.

The Jets are having trouble under center as Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered through another dreadful performance and sustained a knee injury in last week’s loss to Miami. New York coach Todd Bowles said second-year pro Bryce Petty will be ready to go if Fitzpatrick can’t play.

Los Angeles heads into Week 10 with its own QB issues as it ranks last in the league in points per game (16.2) and 24th in passing yards per game (234.2). Case Keenum is supposedly still the Rams man under center, but it must only be a matter of time before No. 1 pick Jared Goff gets to make his debut.

The Rams are 0-3-1 ATS during four consecutive losses, but perhaps they’re due to cover the spread after a 13-10 loss to Carolina in Week 9. The Rams are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game and the Jets are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
