Two Metro Athletic teams that have struggled this season meet today in New York. The St Peters Peacocks are 13-12 on the season, but has a excellent spread record of 13-6 ATS and 9-1 ATS on the road. Manhattan is 10-16 S/U and 10-13 ATS this season. St Peters has been an outstanding road club, going 9-1 this season and 19-7 ATS in their last 26. I'm taking the Peacocks here tonight. Play St Peters.
|02-12-17||Nevada +4 v. San Diego State||56-70||Loss||-103||13 h 59 m||Show|
San Diego State not having the kind of season they have been accustomed to in the past, as they are just 13-10 on the season and 2-5 ATS at home. The Aztecs have struggled lately, going 2-3 S/U and 1-5 ATS. They play Nevada for the second time this season, losing a close match in Northern Nevada, 72-69. The Wolfpack can win their 20th game here today. Nevada has won three of their last four games both S/U and ATS. Nevada also averages 79.9 ppg and allows 72.1 ppg. San Diego State averages just 69.2 ppg this season. I'm taking the small points here with Nevada, which is 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight road games. The Wolfpack need this game to show they belong in the NCAA tournament. Take Nevada.
|02-12-17||Cincinnati v. SMU -4.5||51-60||Win||100||13 h 50 m||Show|
Cincinnati brings an 11 game American Athletic Conference win streak into today's contest at SMU. The Bearcats are 22-2 S/U on the season with their last loss coming back on December 10 vs Butler. Cincinnati is averaging 77 ppg this year and 47.2% from the field. SMU is no slouch this year, bringing a 21-4 record into this contest. The Mustangs only conference loss was to this Cincinnati club. SMU is averaging 73.2 ppg and 46.2% shooting. The Mustangs have an outstanding defense, as they are holding opponents to 58.3 ppg. A lot at state here for both of these ranked teams, but I'm siding with the home club who will be looking to avenge their only conference loss of the season. Take SMU.

|02-07-17||Michigan State +5 v. Michigan||57-86||Loss||-103||9 h 34 m||Show|
Michigan State is a young team but there is plenty of talent. They've turned a corner, on a 7-4 SU/ATS run. The Spartans held off Michigan 70-62 on January 29 before downing Nebraska 72-61 on Tuesday to notch back-to-back wins. Freshman sensation Miles Bridges, who was named one of the 10 finalists for the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award, scored 16 points in the win against Nebraska to finish in double figures for the sixth consecutive game. The Spartans are ranked 10th nationally in assists per game (17.5) and are 18-6 ATS in Big 10 play. Michigan's postseason dreams are hanging by a thread after dropping back-to-back games, most recently a disappointing 70-66 home loss to Ohio State on Saturday. The Wolverines are on a 3-8 ATS run, 4-11 ATS in Big 10 play and 3-12 ATS against a team with a winning straight up record. Michigan State has won the last two meetings in Ann Arbor by an average margin of 14.5 points. Play Michigan State.
|02-07-17||Syracuse +4 v. Clemson||82-81||Win||100||8 h 41 m||Show|
The Orange have won four straight games - two of them coming against ranked teams, including Saturday's come-from-behind win against No. 13 Virginia. Syracuse trailed by 12 at halftime before rallying for a 66-62 victory against the nation's top scoring defense. Now the Orange will take aim at a Tigers squad that just gave up 109 points in a loss to Florida State. The Clemson Tigers have lost seven of their last nine (2-7 ATS)) with their only wins in that stretch coming against Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh, which have combined for a 6-15 record in league play. Play Syracuse.

|02-06-17||Kansas v. Kansas State +3||74-71||Push||0||11 h 40 m||Show|
The second half of the ESPN doubleheader has number three Kansas plays at Kansas State. This game matches a very good offensive Kansas team against a very good K State defense. The Jayhawks are averaging 84 ppg this season and shooting 50% from the floor. Kansas State only allows an average of 65 ppg. Kansas coming off a rare home loss last time out to Iowa State, 92-89 in OT. IT was the first home loss for Kansas in over 50 games. Kansas State snapped a three game losing streak with a road win at Baylor, 56-54. Rivalries like this one can provide some exciting outcomes, regardless of the respective team rankings. I'm taking the points here tonight with the home dog, Kansas State.
|02-06-17||Louisville v. Virginia -5.5||55-71||Win||100||9 h 35 m||Show|
The ACC is packed with powerhouse teams, and tonight two of those clubs matchup on ESPN. Louisville and Virginia both have 7-3 conference records and both are 1.5 games back of North Carolina for the ACC lead. Both clubs are guaranteed NCAA bids unless the wheels fall off. Louisville has won three straight and seven of the last eight. The Cardinals have also covered six straight. Virginia is looking to bounce back after a road loss to Syracuse, 66-62. The Cavaliers have won six of eight both S/U and ATS. Virginia has owned this Louisville club, winning four of the last five meetings. The Cavalier defense has stymied the Cardinals, holding them fewer than 60 points since in all five games since joining the conference. This looks to be a very good game, but I'm sticking with the Cavs here against a Louisville team they have handled quite well.
