St Louis Blues vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Free Pick 03/07/15
Play St. Louis Blues.
The Maple Leafs have dropped three of their last four games, with two of those being shut out losses. They’re off a 4-2 defeat at Tampa Bay two days ago and are a measly 1-9 in their last 10 playing on one day of rest. They’re hosting a pissed off St. Louis Blues team tonight that is looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses to the Nucks and the Flyers.
A trip to Toronto might be just what the doctor ordered though, as the Blues have gone 8-1-1 over the last 10 meetings there. They’re a solid 9-3 over their last 12 away from home and will turn to a red hot Brian Elliot to tend the net. He has allowed only five goals over his last four outings away from home and shut out the Maple Leafs in the 3-0 home win earlier in the season. The Maple Leafs are likely to go with Jonathan Bernier in net, and he is posting a rather swollen 3.04 GAA over 25 outings on home ice this season.
