The Cleveland Cavaliers are holding a 3-0 lead in this Eastern Conference finals series and can secure its place in the finals for the first time since 2007 with another win Tuesday night. They picked up two big wins at Atlanta (97-89, 94-82), but struggled in Game 3 home in Cleveland as Atlanta managed to force overtime where Cleveland eventually prevailed 114-111. The Hawks won the season series 3-1, and perhaps it’s too early to write off the Hawks just yet?

The Chicago Bulls stole home-court advantage away from the second-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers as they won Game 1 of this series 99-92 Monday. They’ll be looking to take a 2-0 lead in the series when visiting the Cavaliers again Wednesday night before going home to Chicago and United Center for the following two meetings.

The Boston Celtics are travelling to Cleveland for an Eastern Conference battle against the Cavs for Game 1 in a best of seven series.
February 24th, 2015
The Cavs are cruising with a 35-22 mark just one game behind the Bulls in the Central. They are off back-to-back wins, 16-2 SU last 18 games.

Few would have predicted that the Cavs would be sitting 12 games out of first in the Eastern Conference in mid January, but it didn’t exactly surprise me.

It was only a matter of time before the Cavaliers caught fire and it looks like Cleveland is poised to go on a big run. The Cavs have won 5 straight, which includes wins over the Clippers and Bulls.

The Cavaliers have lost six straight and are 1-9 in the last ten. LeBron James looked refreshed in his return on Tuesday after missing the previous eight games.
December 19th, 2014
I’m expecting max effort from the Cavaliers after Wednesday’s ugly 29-point loss at home to Atlanta. Cleveland already beat the Nets by 22 in Brookyln earlier this season as an 8-point favorite.

I was waiting for the line to move to a +6 to accept the added generosity from the books. Buy a half point up to +6 for anything less than -125. This is not the same Hawks team that got blown out 127-94 a month ago in Cleveland.
December 15th, 2014
The Cavs opened -11, -10-1/2 and the line has been steady Sunday night as we write this analysis. Based on current records before Sunday action we find Charlotte 6-17 on the season, while coming off back-to-back SU losses.

I think the books have completely missed the mark in this one. The public sees a matchup between LeBron James and Kevin Durant and expects a lot of offensive fireworks, but I’m expecting this to be a defensive battle.
