The Hawkeyes have really stumbled down the stretch and go into their final game of the regular season having lost 4 straight to go from Big Ten favorite to an afterthought. I still believe Iowa is one of the better teams not just in the conference but the country.

The Arizona Wildcats are playing better than anyone in the Pac-12 right now. They have won five straight games coming in and should add a sixth straight in blowout fashion tonight at home against the Arizona State Sun Devils.

The Orlando Magic have been outscored by an average of 21.0 points over the last three games as they’ve seemingly collapsed after an impressive month of December. Perhaps not all that suprising as the Magic are just 11-24 ATS in January games over the last three seasons.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are getting a ton of respect from oddsmakers in this game because of their dominant win over the Michigan Wolverines in their season finale. I believe it’s too much respect as they should not be favored by nearly a touchdown against the Fighting Irish. I look at this as a very evenly-matched game, and I certainly question the motivation of the Buckeyes in a lesser bowl game after winning the National Championship last year. Of course they are going to get up for rival Michigan, but this is a different story.

Our featured free pick Tuesday, September 15 comes from Turner Field where the Atlanta Braves will entertain the Toronto Blue Jays for the opener of a three-game set. The Blue Jays extended their AL East lead to three games ahead of the New York Yankees after taking three of four at Yankee Stadium their last series. The Atlanta Braves meanwhile opened a four-game home-stand by getting swept over four games against the New York Mets and are running the risk at being overtaken by the Phillies to end up at the very bottom of the NL East.

Our featured free pick Monday, September 14 comes from Arlington where the Texas Rangers will host the Houston Astros for a key clash in the AL West. The visitors have won just four of their last 11 games while Texas has split its last six to climb 1 1/2 games back of the Astros for the division top spot. The Los Angeles Angels are also in the mix just three games behind the Rangers so every W is of utmost importance for both teams involved in this contest.

Our featured free pick for Thursday September 10, 2015 features the opener of a four-game set at Yankee Stadium where the New York Yankees will entertain AL East rivals the Toronto Blue Jays.
September 9th, 2015
Our featured free pick for Thursday September 9, 2015 comes from the marquee matchup between NL East rivals the New York Mets and the Washington Nationals at Nationals Stadium. The Mets have won each of the first two meetings of this three-game series and are now holding a six-game lead for the division top spot. The Nats had won five straight coming into the series and will be desperate to avoid a sweep.

The Cleveland Indians have won just three of their last 12 games and are currently sitting bottom of the AL Central. They’re six games off the last Wild Card in the American League, while tonight’s hosts the Los Angeles Angels are holding down the first. The Halos have struggled of late as well though but ended a six-game skid with a 5-4 win in this three-game series opener last night.
August 3rd, 2015
The Oakland Athletics are sitting bottom of the AL but are coming off back-to-back wins against the Cleveland Indians. The Baltimore Orioles their last four games agains the Detroit Tigers and are just one game back of the Minnesota Twins for the last Wild Card spot in the AL.

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals will clash in Friday night’s I-70 Series opener at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals took two of three when the two teams did battle in Kansas City back in May, but it’s the Royals that have won six of the last seven meetings between the clubs.

Neither the Chicago Blackhawks or the Tampa Bay Lightning finished the regular season within the top-two spots in their respective conference, but both teams have proved themselves more than worthy to be battling it out in the Stanley Cup final 2015. The Blackhawks are coming into the finals eyeing their third championship in six seasons while the Lightning are looking for their first since defeating the Flames over seven games back in 2004. The teams split two meetings during the regular season, and we’re sure to be in for a close series likely to go to seven games.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are holding a 3-0 lead in this Eastern Conference finals series and can secure its place in the finals for the first time since 2007 with another win Tuesday night. They picked up two big wins at Atlanta (97-89, 94-82), but struggled in Game 3 home in Cleveland as Atlanta managed to force overtime where Cleveland eventually prevailed 114-111. The Hawks won the season series 3-1, and perhaps it’s too early to write off the Hawks just yet?

The San Francisco Giants have shut out the Los Angeles Dodgers in back-to-back wins and can complete the sweep of a three-game set against their NL West rivals this afternoon. We’ve seen just six runs scored in the first two games in the series, and runs are sure to come at a premium today when both clubs send their ace to the hill.
