The defending champs and 6th seeded San Antonio Spurs (0-1) will be looking to even out this Western Conference quarterfinals series as they face the 3rd seeded Los Angeles Clippers (1-0) Wednesday night. The game tips off at 10:30 pm ET from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and will be televised nationally on TNT with regional coverage provided by Fox Sports Southwest and Fox Sports West 2.

The San Antonio Spurs are visiting the Los Angeles Clippers Sunday for Game 1 of possibly the most anticipated best of 7 series in the first round of the NBA playoffs 2015. The Spurs are the #6 seed while the Clippers finished as the #3 seed in the West.

I’m going to lay some points tonight, recommending a play on the San Antonio Spurs. All hands should be on deck tonight for Gregg Popovich after his team got rocked last time out by the LA Clippers.

The San Antonio Spurs are finally healthy. As a result, they are starting to play like the team that won the NBA Championship last year, and not the one that opened the season 19-14 and in the middle of the pack in the Western Conference.

If you have followed the Spurs closely over the years, you know that you can never count this team out. It’s only a matter of time before San Antonio flips on the switch and goes on a huge run.

Those who have been following me in the NBA know how much we have enjoyed the Detroit run. The Pistons, Stan Van Gundy in particular, gave Josh Smith his walking papers following a loss to Brooklyn on December 21.

There is NO Doubt the 76ers are the worst team in the NBA and at times when I have watched them, despite the youth and all other intangibles involved, it looks like a halfhearted effort on the floor, especially when they are flat out getting throttled.

There’s a good chance the Spurs will rest some of their veterans in the second game of a back-to-back set, similar to what we saw last week in their 81-98 loss to the Rockets. The big key here is that Golden State won’t take this game lightly no matter who plays for San Antonio.

Look for the defending champs to rise to the occasion following Saturday’s upset loss at home to New Orleans. The Spurs are on a 14-4 ATS run following an upset loss at home, winning by an average score of 107.6 to 94.4 in this spot.

The Spurs have had to sit an wait for 4 days since losing on the road against the Suns last Friday. I look for San Antonio to be all business at home against the Hawks. Not to take anything away from Atlanta, who is a better team than they get credit for, but they are no match for a motivated Spurs squad. The Hawks are also not a great road team.
