I am taking the points with the Texans here at home against the Bills. It’s no surprise Josh Allen and the Bills are going to be America’s favorite team this season and in this game – but let’s not get too carried away. The Texans still have one of the best defensive units in the league and their offense only get stronger since the addition of David Montgommery in the offseason. The Bills defense is going to be their weakest link this season and if they cannot get the offense on the field it will be a big problem for them. The Bills struggled in this spot last year against Davis Mills losing 23-19 and have had the number over Buffalo with wins in 4 of the L5 head to head. I am taking the points here with the Bucs against the Bengals. Bake Mayfield just signed a big contract extension despite thinking he deserved more – now is his time to prove that. The Bengals no doubt have a strong duo in Burrow/Chase, however they have a very young offensive line and I expect Burrow to be forced into ugly passes which can turn into turnovers. It gets better for the Tampa defense, they have a strong trio of Rueben Bain Jr, Josiah Trotter (both draft picks) and veteran Vita Vea as the anchor, they will be a scary force to stop on Sunday. Despite losing Mike Evans to the 49ers, Baker has weapons still with Chris Godwin, Emeka Egbuka and Bucky Irving in the backfield who can no doubt open this game up. This should be a great game with plenty of space for backdoor cover with a little Baker magic. Take the points with the Bucs here. –Joey Tron

I am laying the points with the Eagles here at home against the Commanders in this NFC East rivalry to kickoff the new season. I am high on the Eagles in this spot because there is a big mismatch between these two lines, and that’s where Philadelphia will really make them pay. The Commanders offensive line is pretty banged up right now and with the explosiveness of Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, I look for them to make a huge impact early, giving the offense great field position on several occasions. The Eagles offense has historically had their way with just under 900 yards of offense and amassing 14 total touchdowns. The Eagles offense may seem at a loss without AJ Brown, however that just makes all the room for Saquon Barkley to open up the game in combination with DeVonta Smith, who will certainly enjoy an increased workload.
