Detroit won the opener of this three-game series by a score of 5-3 last night, and the total stayed below the posted number, and I believe that runs will once again be at a premium on Tuesday, due mainly to the elite form of the scheduled starters.

The Yanks hand the ball to Carlos Rodon (3-2, 3.50 ERA), who gave up three runs over five innings while striking out seven in a win over the White Sox. He also issued just a single walk. It's a third straight start with at least 7 K's.

The home side counters with Charlie Mize (2-4, 2.58 ERA), who gave up three runs over five innings in a loss to the Astros on Wednesday. Mize owns a sharp 52:13 K:BB over 52.1 innings of work.

Consider the UNDER.

I don't trust either Ritchie or Canning right now.

After yesterday's series opening low-scoring affair, look for these suspect starters to get chased early and for that to subsequently lead to plenty of runs in the end.

This is a 1% WC WINNER on Croatia on the goal line option at -1.

The Croatians need a win over a 4-2 loss to England. I had England in that first game. But now I like Croatia to bounce back and to earn a full 3 points in this favorable matchup.

Panama lost 1-0 to Ghana. They looked decent and probably should have won that game, but this is a big step up in competition.

Croatia is loaded with talent and will be playing with desperation. I expect a blowout win. Lay the goalline option on CROATIA.
