Washington Wizards won both meetings at Toronto and defeated the Raptors 106-99 home at Verizon Center Friday night. They have a chance to finish off Toronto in front of its home-fans to win their mere fourth playoff series in the last 35 years. The Raptors will be looking to become the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-0 series deficit, starting with a win tonight.

Tuesday’s NBA Playoff card features a match-up between the Toronto Raptors (49-33, 37-44-1 ATS) and the visiting Washington Wizards (46-36, 33-46-3 ATS). Tipoff is scheduled for 10:30pm EST at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

I’m backing Toronto minus the points. Wizards’ vet Paul Pierce may feel confident in claiming the Raptors…”don’t have the IT that makes you feel worried,” but the Raptors do have the experience of dropping the ball in round-one of the postseason just a year ago, which may prove to season this team for the 2015 opening round.

Minnesota has gone a respectable 4-3 in their last seven home games. Their only losses in that sequence came versus Golden State, Atlanta, and Cleveland.

First off we have the Raps showing 35-17 off BB wins in first place via the Atlantic Division. In contrast Washington 33-10 in second place (SE) with a solid SU road mark of 18-7.

I’m recommending a play on the Chicago Bulls on Friday night. Chicago is off an ugly 97-77 loss to the Utah Jazz last time out and I expect the Bulls to come out focused and ready for action, start to finish on Friday.

The Wizards are playing really well right now, and we think they should have no problem dominating this matchup against a Utah team that has been a big disappointment to this point of the season.

The Wizards’ 12-point loss to the Heat last night wasn’t nearly as bad as the final score would indicate. Miami hit some big shots late to separate themselves and you can’t overlook the fact that game meant a little more to the Heat than the Wizards.

This is a statement game for Dwyane Wade, Chrish Bosh and the Miami Heat as they look to show the league that they’re still a team to be reckoned with without LeBron James.
