Moneyline Odds (American)
Used by most US bookmakers such as Pinnacle Sports, 5Dimes and Betonline. If the moneyline is positive, the amount quoted is the amount you would win on a $100 bet. If the line is negative, the amount quoted is what you would need to bet to win $100. This is the method we use to keep track of our handicappers records.
Example: If you bet $100 on a +120 line you'll receive $120 if you win. You would have to place a bet of $120 on a line of -120 to make a $100 profit.
Decimal Odds (European)
Common around the world but particularly in Europe and the standard on big sports books and betting exchanges such as William Hill, Bet365 and Betfair.
Example: If you bet $100 at odds of 2.25 you will receive $225 in total if you win. If you bet $100 at odds of 1.69 you'll receive $169 if you win.
