How to Read the Handicapper Leaderboard

Every handicapper on our 2026 leaderboard is ranked by total profit since January 1. Here's what each column means:

  • Profit: Total winnings or losses on all graded picks this year, based on standard $100 plays.
  • ROI: Return on investment, or profit divided by total amount risked. It shows how efficiently a capper wins, no matter how many picks they release.
  • Win PCT: The percentage of picks that won, with pushes excluded.
  • W-L: The handicapper's full win-loss record for the year.
  • Avg. Odds: The average price of the capper's picks. Negative numbers mean they mostly bet favorites; positive numbers mean underdogs.
  • Sc Score: [Add your definition here]

What Is a Good Win Rate for a Sports Handicapper?

At standard -110 odds, a bettor needs to win about 52.4% of their bets to break even. Anything above that is profit, and a long-term win rate of 55% or higher puts a handicapper among the best in the world. That's why the top cappers on this leaderboard aren't winning 70% of their picks. Over thousands of graded plays, nobody does. Be wary of any service that claims otherwise without verified records to back it up.

Win rate also depends on the odds. A capper who bets underdogs can win less than half their picks and still turn a strong profit, which is why ROI and profit tell you more than win percentage alone.

About the Leaderboard

This leaderboard covers every sport our handicappers bet: NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, college football and basketball, soccer, tennis, boxing, UFC, CFL and WNBA. It shows who is winning across all sports combined.

Looking for a specialist? Each sport has its own seasonal rankings: NFL handicapper rankings, NBA handicapper leaderboard, MLB handicapper leaderboard, NHL handicapper leaderboard, college football handicapper rankings, college basketball handicapper leaderboard, soccer handicapper leaderboard, tennis handicapper leaderboard and boxing, MMA and UFC handicapper rankings.

Want the cappers on the best run right now? Check our handicapper hot streaks for the last 7, 30 and 60 days. For records that go back multiple seasons, see the long-term handicapper leaderboard.

How Are Handicapper Records Verified?

Every pick on Professional Sports Picks is 100% documented. Handicappers choose their lines from a live odds feed pulled from widely available sportsbooks, and those lines can't be edited by hand, so no one can adjust a price after the fact. Active picks appear on a handicapper's profile shortly after the game starts, and a summary of yesterday's picks is posted on each profile for full transparency.

How Are Profits Calculated?

Profits assume a standard $100 play. On favorites, the handicapper risks the line to win $100: at -150, they risk $150 to win $100. On underdogs, they risk $100 to win the line: at +150, they risk $100 to win $150. This keeps every capper's results comparable no matter what odds they bet.

Free picks are not included in leaderboard results. The all-sports leaderboard runs on a calendar year, while individual sport leaderboards follow each sport's season.
